The mission of TEXVAC is to return fair-minded, honest, and progressive officeholders to all levels of Texas government.

IMPLEMENTING PHILOSPHY

To achieve this mission, TEXVAC will develop and nurture officeholders throughout the North Texas region by strategically gathering and applying financial, staffing, and message resources in targeted races, creating viable and competitive Democratic candidates.

HOW WE WILL WIN!

Models such as EMILY’s List and some conservative organizations provide a powerful and proven template for success. Successful organizations elect their preferred candidates by providing early training, staffing, and financing.

Training: First-time candidates—even savvy and successful business people—are at a disadvantage running races due to a lack of understanding of and experience with campaign structure and principles. Successful candidate development overcomes this barrier through high-level training and education.

Financing: To establish viability, candidates need EARLY financing. For Texas Legislative Candidates to win, that means spending upwards of $300,000. Successful candidate development groups start helping their candidates secure that financing early.

Staffing : Well trained and capable campaign staff is critical for success in difficult races—and staffing is needed early in the race.

Media: North Texas is unique in that our region shares one of the largest media markets in the country. TEXVAC will take advantage of this opportunity by providing Democratic message to North Texas media outlets.
